The anenome ‘September Charm’ has just started to bloom this week. I look forward to these sweet, five-petaled, soft-pink blossoms every year. |

The tomatoes are finally arriving regularly from the vines. Six weeks or so of tomato-bliss! And, lots of zinnias to cut for the house from a couple of clumps in the raised vegetable beds — cheerfulness inside and out! |

My mom makes the best pie crust ever to grace a happy fork, and with the scraps she makes “pie crust cookies,” which are dough pieces spread with butter, sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar, and baked. She sent most of her pie crust cookies home with me yesterday. I ate them. I ate them all. Full confession. |
And look at this battered old pizza pan. It’s funny-looking, but it holds good stuff. Like pie crust cookies. That nobody else got. (I think surely she intended them all for me????)

The Adolescent Male #1 and I are slated to do serious get-ready-for-leaving-for-college work today. This is the kind of thing we’re up against. Send me your positive thoughts, if you will. |
What’s giving you some contentment this week?
