{pretty, happy, funny, real}: Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head edition

round button chicken

Pretty

I always think pansies are such cheerful flowers. These and their matching partners flank our front door.

Happy

It makes me happy to have gotten these perennials yesterday. They are destined to live on the “back” side of the brick wall my dad built last fall along the side of our property.

Funny

This is what happens when Lori runs outside on a wet morning to capture some contentment in her life…

Real

… and this is what happens when Lori doesn’t clean up the veggie garden properly in the fall — lots and lots of baby tomato plants!

All of those baby tomato plants made me laugh! Love it! They are looking better than the ones in my newspaper pots indoors.

  • In My Kitchen, In My Life is a place where women (and the odd male) can be encouraged, nudged, and occasionally kicked in the pants toward living their lives on a higher plane. Oh, and readers get plenty of chances to laugh at the author's foibles, which is always worth a click.
