Just Do It!

Here’s a January decluttering/refreshing/cleaning mission for today:
Is there anywhere in your house where there is something that is just dirty? I mean, as in pretty much nasty?

I’m not talking about cleaning out the garage or the basement. I mean some not-that-big spot that needs attention but doesn’t get it often enough because you don’t wanna/don’t have materials to do the job/don’t have time. Or maybe it just gets forgotten in all the rush of living.

It could be the floor of a closet that never gets cleaned because of the things stored there. How long has it been? It could be something unmentionable that the cat did. You discovered it, but never did anything about it because you were running out the door. It could be a grimy doorway from lots of little fingers. You hardly see it, except when suddenly you look, and Oh, my! It could be behind the toilet. Oh, dear…

Whatever it is, take care of it today. Just do it. Don’t overthink. If you don’t have the perfect way to clean it, just make do. Toss that cobwebby curtain in the wash. Scrub that stain. Pull out the vacuum attachments and work around stuff if necessary to make a difference. You can work wonders with plain water and a rag.

Report back here. You don’t have to say what the actual job was. Just tell us:
___ I did it.
___ I made a start at it.
___ I didn’t do it. I like nasty. (Don’t pick this one.)

You will feel so good when you have taken care of what’s been nagging at you. Go on. Just do it.
